RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Advise staff of alternate dates for the January 2007 and February 2007 Parks and Recreation
Commission meetings.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In reviewing the calendar for the upcoming Parks and Recreation Commission meetings for
2007, it is noted that there is a conflict with certain Commission meeting dates. The regularly
scheduled meeting for January 2007 would occur on Monday, January 15, which is in conflict
with the City's scheduled holiday in honor of Martin Luther King Day. The regularly scheduled
meeting for February 2007 would occur on Monday, February 19, which is in conflict with the
City's scheduled holiday in honor of President's Day.
There are several significant items that are time sensitive which will require Commission review
and action during the January/February 2007 time period.
Based on these significant items, staff is recommending that a special Parks and Recreation
Commission meeting be held in January 2007, and that the commission also consider an
alternate meeting date for February 2007,
