SUMMARY REPORT OF THE JUNE 18, 2007 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING
CONSENT CALENDAR - The following consent items were unanimously approved 7-0:
1. AB # 0607-1 SUMMARY REPORT - (ACTION] - The Commission accepted and approved the
Summary Report of the April 16, 2007 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting.
2. AB # 0607-2 RECEIPT OF DONATIONS FROM CARLSBAD LOVES KIDS EVENT- (ACTION) -
The Commission received donations of products in support of the Carlsbad Loves Kids Event, and
recommended acceptance by the City Council.
3- AB # 0607-3 RECEIPT OF DONATION FROM NORTH COAST CHURCH- (ACTION} - The
Commission received donations of materials, supplies, and service hours from members of North
Coast Church, and recommended acceptance by the City Council.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
*• AB # 0607-4 KIDS INCLUDED TOGETHER INCLUSION AWARDS- (INFO) - The Commission
received information regarding the award recently received by the Recreation Department at the Kids
Included Together (KIT.) National Conference on Inclusion held in April 2007.
5- AB # 0607-5 TRAIL BLAST AWARD RECEIVED FROM CAUFORNIA STATE PARKS- fINFO) -
The Commission received information regarding the award recently received at the California Trails
and Greenways Conference held in May 2007, for the Recreation Department's Fall 2006 Trail Blast
Event.
6- AB # 0607-6 RECREATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDED FEE INCREASES- (INFO) - The
Commission reviewed staff recommendations for proposed fee increases for fiscal year 2007-08, and
provided comments to be forwarded the City Council.
