RECOMMENDED ACTION :
Receive donations and recommend acceptance by the City Council.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
From January 1, 2007 through July 30, 2007, the City has received and deposited a total of
$5,284.18 in donations for the Carrillo Ranch Fund, in part from the following list of donors:
Solana Beach Newcomers - Janice Hinds
Margaret and Lynn Cannady
The Harts and Murphys, Allentown, PA
Old Town San Diego State Historic Park Docents - Jeanette Marline
James and Judy Kruger, Boise, ID
Jessica and John Turner
Judy Kunkel
Cortez Viajeros
Oceanside Newcomers
University of Phoenix, Brenda Cinque
John and Charlene Turner, Blue Bell, PA
Clotilde Massad, Rancho Bernardo Travel Club
Sunrise Senior Living, Carlsbad
Donations were generated by private guided tours of the Ranch led by City staff and docents,
from donations received for Joan Kindle's handcrafted gifts, and from many generous
anonymous donors. No single donation was in excess of $500.
Timely letters of appreciation have been sent to all individuals, groups, and organizations
making donations to the Carrillo Ranch Fund.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The donations in the amount of $5,284.18 were deposited into the Carrillo Ranch Trust account
#149-4504-5651 to be used for purposes related to the development, operation, and
maintenance of Carrillo Ranch.
