RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Advise staff of alternate dates, if any, for the January 2008 and February 2008 Parks and
Recreation Commission meetings.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In reviewing the calendar for the upcoming Parks and Recreation Commission meetings for
2008, it is noted that there is a conflict with certain Commission meeting dates. The regularly
scheduled meeting for January 2008 would occur on Monday, January 21, 2008, which is in
conflict with the City's scheduled holiday in honor of Martin Luther King Day. The regularly
scheduled meeting for February 2008 would occur on Monday, February 18, 2008, which is in
conflict with the City's scheduled holiday in honor of President's Day.
If there are significant items that are time sensitive which will require Commission review and
action during the January/February 2008 time period, staff recommends that the Commission
consider alternate meeting dates for January and/or February 2008.
