RECOMMENDED ACTION :
Receive donation and recommend acceptance by City Manager.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
From December 31, 2007 through August 21, 2008, the City has received and deposited a total
of seven thousand four hundred eighty dollars ($7,480) in donations for the Carrillo Ranch Fund
in part from the significant contributions of the following donors:
Ms. Patricia Barker
Ms. Denise Higgins & the Red Hatters
Ms. Dolores Class
Ms. Susan Flick & Great Western Tours
Ms. Joan Rosenwald & the B'nai Brith group
Ms. Marley White
Day Tours/Transportation Charter Services
Donations were also generated by proceeds from Movie Nights, private guided tours of the
Ranch led by City staff and docents, donations received for Joan Kindle's handcrafted gifts, and
from many generous anonymous donors. No single donation was in excess of $500.
Letters of appreciation have been sent to all individuals, groups, and organizations making
donations to the Carrillo Ranch Fund.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The donations in the amount of $7,480 were deposited into the Carrillo Ranch Trust account
#149-4504-5651 to be used for purposes related to the development, operation, and
maintenance of Carrillo Ranch.
