RECOMMENDED ACTION
Recommend acceptance of donations by City Manager.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
From August 21, 2008 through December 28, 2008, the City has received and deposited a total
of $3,016 in donations for the Carrillo Ranch Fund in part from the significant contributions of the
following donors:
Ms. Karen Smith
Ms. Joan Green
Mr. James Toban & the Santa Ana Elks Travel Club
Donations were also generated by proceeds from the Friday Night Film Festivals, private guided
tours of the Ranch led by City staff and docents, donations received for Joan Kindle's
handcrafted gifts (not including the Holiday at the Rancho sale), and from many generous
anonymous donors. No single donation was in excess of $500.
Letters of appreciation have been sent to all individuals, groups, and organizations making
donations to the Carrillo Ranch Fund.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The donations in the amount of $3,016 were deposited into the Carrillo Ranch Fund account
#149-4504-5651 to be used for purposes related to the development, operation, and
maintenance of Carrillo Ranch.
