RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve a meeting location option for the 2009 - 2010 Parks and Recreation Commission
meetings.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
At the March 16, 2009 commission meeting the commissioners discussed their decision to move
some of their Parks and Recreation Commission meetings from City Council Chambers to the
Senior Center. An option was proposed to continue this community outreach and host their
meetings at various Park and Recreation facilities throughout the community. The commission
followed the schedule listed below to provide an opportunity for Commissioners and public
visitors to become more familiar with some of the venues managed by the Parks and Recreation
Department.

As the final community outreach commission meetings are coming to a close, the commission
has a few meeting location choices to consider. 1) Move the meetings back to the City Council
Chambers, 2) Continue to hold meetings at the Senior Center, 3) Move the meetings back to the
City Council Chambers and consider one community outreach location once a quarter, or 4)
Propose their own schedule.
