RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Advise staff of alternate dates, if any, for the January 2011 and February 2011 Parks and
Recreation Commission meetings.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In reviewing the calendar for the upcoming Parks and Recreation Commission meetings for 2011,
it is noted that there is a conflict with certain Commission meeting dates. The regularly scheduled
meeting for January 2011 would occur on Monday, January 17, 2011, which is in conflict with the
City's scheduled holiday in honor of Martin Luther King Day. The regularly scheduled meeting
for February 2011 would occur on Monday, February 21, 2011, which is in conflict with the City's
scheduled holiday in honor of President's Day.
If there are significant items that are time sensitive which will require Commission review and
action during the January/February 2011 time period, staff recommends that the Commission
consider alternate meeting dates for January and/or February 2011. Two options for the
alternative meeting date is available in the Council Chambers, January 31, 2011 and February 7,
2011.
