By proper motion, the Minutes of the Special Parks & Recreation Commission meeting of June
19, 2017 were approved.

PRESENTATIONS
Parks Planning Manager Kasia Trojanowska recognized Eagle Scout Glen Nagle for his recent
contributions to Carlsbad's Citywide Trails Program.

The Commission accepted and approved the Summary Report of the June 19, 2017
Special Parks & Recreation Commission meeting.

Associate Planner Corey Funk presented an informational report on the proposed
amendment to the Growth Management Plan -Parks Performance Standard.
3. SR# 0717-3 REVISED DRAFT TRAILS MASTER PLAN UPDATE -(INFO}
Parks Services Manager Kyle Lancaster and Parks Planning Manager Kasia
Trojanowska presented a report on the revised draft of the Carlsbad Trails Master
Plan.

Recreation Services Manager Mike Pacheco and Park Services Manager Kyle Lancaster
reported on recently completed, ongoing and upcoming Parks & Recreation
programs, events, and park projects.

Commission meeting, due to a lack of a quorum of commissioners who were present at the July
17, 2017 meeting.
By proper motion, the minutes of the August 1, 2017 Special Parks & Recreation Commission
meeting were approved.
