Discussion The Traffic and Mobility Commission Chair typically serves a one-year term. Last year Traffic and Mobility Commission elected Commissioner Mona Gocan to Chair and Commissioner Jonnie Johnson to Vice-Chair. Commissioner End of Term Monica Gocan (Chair) 7/2020 Jonnie Johnson (Vice-Chair) 7/2020 Chuck Hunter 7/2021 Bill Fowler 7/2021 Steve Linke 2/2023 Peter Penseyres 7/2021 Brandon Perez 2/2023 Consistent with the proposed Traffic & Mobility Commission procedural rules and regulations, the following are the powers and duties of the Commission Chair: 1. The Chairperson of the Commission shall be the Presiding Officer at all meetings of the Traffic and Mobility Commission. 2. The Chairperson may move, second debate, and vote from the Chair. The Chairperson shall not be deprived of any of the rights and privileges of a Commissioner by reason of acting as Chairperson. 3. The Chairperson, or such person as the Chairperson may designate, may verbally restate each motion immediately prior to calling for the vote. Following the vote, the Chairperson shall announce whether the motion carried or was defeated. 4. The Chairperson shall be responsible for the maintenance of order and decorum at all meetings, and shall decide all questions of order and procedure, subject, however, to an appeal to the Commission, in which case the matter shall be determined by majority vote of the Commission.
