MEETING MINUTES
Chairperson Nygaard called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.
Committee Members Present: Julie Baker-Planning Commission Representative, Richard Erhardt-
Chairman of the Beach Preservation Committee, Julie Nygaard-retired City
Councilwoman, and Hope Wrisley-Community Leader.
Committee Member Absent: Eric Larson-Executive Director of the San Diego County Farm Bureau,
Deborah Ruddock (non-voting member)-Project Manager for the California
Coastal Conservancy, and Irv Rosten – Retired
Staff Members Present: Elaine Blackburn, Senior Planner, and Chris DeCerbo, Principle Planner
Approval of Minutes: There were no minutes to approve.
The Committee reviewed options for newspaper ads and water bill inserts and finalized the project solicitation
and preferred media types. They discussed possible dates for two workshops and newspaper ads, and
discussed potential deadline dates for grant application submittals as well as the review period for the grant
applications and created a tentative schedule for those actions. The dates will be finalized at the next meeting
after additional more detailed information is provided by staff.
Staff will provide the Committee members with additional information on cost, procedures, and other
information related to the advertisements, press releases, and workshops at the next meeting, which is
currently scheduled for June 29, 2006, at 8:00 a.m. in meeting room 150 at the Faraday Center.
