CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hall at 5:05 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Chairman Hall, Cdttee Menbers Hayes, McCoy,, Holmes, Sanchez
and Guilford.
Absent: M&rs Moralez, Helton and Clarke.

be restated to clarify the meaning of her statement regarding historical sites.
OLD BUSMESS:
Pedestrian Circulation Study
Chris Salomne, Carmklnity Redevelopnent Manager, stated
this was the final draft of the study made by Willdan.
The Codttee auld make mrrections and changes, but if
they were extensive, this would cost mre than the $5,000
already paid for the study.
Mr. Salomone stated this study would be the guideline and
document to be used as a tool when these projects are requested. requesting projects totalling $180,000.
He statedMr. Greer had already used this in
Menber Hayes stated the history of the meetings cm this study, with the Traffic Engineer never meeting with the group. Her suggestions and changes were: She felt the map, Exhibit #3, should be updated and corrected.

Police Department.
Page 9: Mrs. Hayes referred to the statement, 'They may
be used near schools of all grade levels. 'I She also
referred to page 27, where four T-intersections were discussed. Mrs. Hayes added four other intersections to that list; Tyler and Oak, Beech and State, Arbuckle and Madison and Arbuckle and Jefferson.
Mrs. Hayes felt the definition for "jaywalking"

The suggestion was made to have a workshop with the
Traffic Advisory Cdttee or go before the Traffic
Safety Comnission, to ask for a policy on how to take care of the intersection of Laguna and Roosevelt.

Mrs. Hayes suggested that Roosevelt and State

in, it was an easy matter to pull the amduit for the street 1 igh ts .
Page 25: Recomnendations: Mrs. Hayes stated that recomnendation #1 was a change in the present policy and she agreed with that and all the reconmendations contained in the report.
Mr. Salmne stated that many of the sidewalk agreements have never been called in and he felt at this time it would be difficult to get those put in.
Menhr Holmes left the meeting at 5:44 p.m., and prior to
his leaving, he remarked about the study and stated he
liked the recomnendations and priorities.
Mr. Salomone used a chart to indicate how Mr. Greer was inplementing this study in his Department. The mehrs
of the Conmittee will be given copies of this report for their perusal.
Meer Hayes stated there were two intersections that needed to be dealt with; namely, Laguna and Roosevelt and Laguna and Madison. Mr. Salomone stated he would submit this to the Traffic Safety Comnission.
Member Hayes stated this report was acceptable, but should be revised and clarified as recomnended.
Historical Sites Preservation
Chris Salomne reported the Agenda Bill went to Council June 19 and an Ad Hoc Cdttee was formed consisting of: Council Menher Lewis, Marje Howarddones, June Applegate, Mary Lynn Brawn-Bellman and Kip Meane. This Codttee will be meeting within the next week to gather material on historical sites.
NECJ BUSINESS:
Housing Budget
Chris Salomone reported no action was necessary on this item. year. He stated the Housing mney is repaid 100% each
Survey of Housing Tenants in Section A program
Chris Salomne is to bring a synopsis of this survey to the Comnittee.

News Articles
Copies of the news articles were referred to by Mr. Salomne, stating there was a lot of mis-information in
the one article by Mr. Skotnicki. There will be an
article published to mrrect and clarify the information,
with Archie Hicks printing this.
Redevelopnent Projects (In the Mill)
Chris Salomne gave a brief surrp~ry of the projects now before staff, indicating the location of some of the projects on a wall chart.
By proper mtion, the meeting was adjourned at 6:22 p.m.
