City Manager's Conference Room
PRESENT: Carl H. Neiswender, Councilman & Chairman, Dr. Reid Binder
and Captain Wallace Rossall, Carlsbad Law Enforcement.
ABSENT: Douglas Deason, Secy., rep. Carlsbad High School, William
Moore, rep. Carlsbad Union School District, Dr. E. R.
Hertweck, Mira Costa Psychology Dept., Dr. Harvey Tuomi
ADJOURNMENT:
Due to the absenteeism of the majority of committee members, the
meeting was adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
INFORMAL DISCUSSION:
Discussion was given by those members present, to the Drug Mobile
sponsored by the Rotary Club. It was decided that Mr, Ed McCann,
President of the Rotary Club should be contacted to see if perhaps
he can make arrangements for the Drug Mobile to come to Carlsbad.
Also, there was much discussion on what exactly should be presented
to the City Council regarding the findings of the Narcotics and
Drug Study Committee. It was decided that all members should pre-
sent their thoughts as to a formal report to the City Council and it
was suggested that members write some notes to bring to the next
meeting. Members will be notified when a new meeting date has been
set up.
