Meeting started at 9:05 a.m.
The Committee discussed the placement of the flyers and invitations for the upcoming
Community Conversations. They would like posters placed in public places and
information placed in the water billing.
The Committee viewed the short video that was placed on the City’s internet site for
information for the public regarding the discussions that would take place at the
Community Conversations. The Committee indicated that they thought the video was
good overall.
It was decided that Farrah Douglas and Jim Comstock would open the Community
Conversation on November 15, 2007. We will also have evaluations prepared for the
public to complete at the end of the Community Conversation.
The Committee also decided the following:
• The group wanted city staff to revisit the decision about not being able to use the
road sign for announcing community events (that is claimed to be only for
warning the public about events that could impact traffic). The city staff agreed to
do that.
• City staff committed to getting an insert about the Prop D community input
process into the utility bill.
• City staff committed to trying to get an article in North County Times re
meetings/process.
• The group agreed that the video should be shown at the city council meeting.
