There would be nix million dollars OVEr a three-
year period for this study and a raport would go
back to Congress at the end of 1995.
The commission discussed the bills and Mr. POleSe
stated they are in the preliminary stages, with
details to be worked out later. This will be an
updating of the current law and the local

Commissioner Woodward reported on a recent ACWA
ReuBe Committee in Newport, which was part of a
seminar dealing with the u~e of grey water for
watering plants or septic tanks. It is not lawful
to do that, but it is being done.
Commissioner Woodward inquired about the use Of tt
color of purple on sprinklerheads to indicate
reclaimed water. He asked staff to look into this
to see whether there is anyone doing this a6 part
of a program the Water Authority is going to do, c
is this just a marketing ploy.
Mr. Poole said nothing is required by the Health
Department as far as colors for sprinkler heads,
but signage is important.
