WATER COMMISSION (Regular Meeting)

CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Maerkle called the Meeting to order at 2:OO p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners Cap, Louis, Maerkle, Henley and Kubota
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commissioner Louis
COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE:
There were no requests to address the Commission.
NEW BUSINESS:
The District Engineer, gave an update on two projects
1. Rehabs of Woodstock Pump Station - Lasted one day - Relined wet well
2. Lining and covering of Maerkle Reservoir - update on project
- piping and grading almost complete - could begin liner pavement in August

COMMISSION REPORTS:
Presidents and Managers Meeting - Commissioner Maerkle
WARAC - Commissioner Kubota gave a report of the tour of North City Reclamation Facility
This 30 million gallon per day facility cost $190 million. Commissioner Kubota said the tour
was quite interesting and recommended the tour to the Commission.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Commissioner Henley made a motion to approve the minutes the motion was seconded by
Commissioner Louis.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the regular meeting of the June 25, 1997 meeting was adjourned at 3:35 P.M.
After the meeting, the Operations Superintendents, Kurt Musser has arranged to take all of the
Commissioners to Maerkle Reservoir.
