OLD BUSINESS;
APPROVAL OF MINUTES;
Approval of the Ouly 14, 1988, Minutes was tabled
until a majority of Commissioners present at that
meeting could be present.
MANAGER'S REPORT;
Connie Beardsley highlighted the topics included in her
report, copy of which was included in the packet. She
added that the parking at the Pops Concert will need to
be revised due to the addition of a fireworks display.
Also, the lighting for the parking area will be a
problem. She said that volunteers will be present with
flashlights. Commissioner Straub suggested a portable
generator, and Ms. Beardsley will investigate that
further, particularly if it could be turned off during
the performance.
Ms. Beardsley reported that $5,000 has been requested
from the School District, and Commissioner Brierley said
it is in the budget, but the budget is on hold at the
present time. This was for the Arts Office program of
inservice training in Arts Education.
Ms. Beardsley announced the art work has been shipped to
Futtsu, Oapan, and their art work is on display at the
Library.
The Arts Associates had expressed disappointment that no
Commissioners attend their meetings. The Arts
Associates will plan to send a representative to attend
the Arts Commission meetings. The Commissioners felt
the Associates were off to a good start, with 200
members at this time.
Ms. Beardsley stated that the fireworks display had
been donated by Union Pacific Realty Company.
NEW BUSINESS;
STAGECOACH PARK ARTIST RECOMMENDATION - for approval
Connie Beardsley read the description of the art work to
be placed in Stagecoach Park and added that public
