BEACH PRESERVATION COMMITTEE

The meeting was called to order at 4:03

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of the July 13, 2010 meeting were approved 4-0 (Hatheway/O'Hara).
1. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: The Committee thoroughly reviewed and updated their 2009 Goals
and Objectives. Any additions/changes made will be presented at the next scheduled BPC meeting as
a draft copy.
2. PUBLIC OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY: The Committee decided to discuss and set a volunteer
schedule on the next scheduled BPC meeting, for the upcoming Art Splash event scheduled for
September 25 and 26, 2010
3. COMMITTEE MEMBER DISCUSSION:
• State Parks Report - State Representative Brian Ketterer announced that the State has no
budget until possibly November, so there's no spending capability.
• Staff member Jantz passed out a flyer inviting the members to Mayor Lewis' retirement party.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT: None
ADJOURNMENT/NEXT MEETING
By proper motion, the meeting was adjourned at 5:35pm. The next meeting of the Beach Preservation
Committee will be Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the City of Carlsbad Parks and Recreation
Administration BuiMnoJ799 Pine Avenue, Suite 200, Carlsbad, 92008.
