The meeting was called to order by Chairman •

called for the purpose of approving payment of.
.current expendi tures incurred by the Carlsbad
Building Authority, and to discuss furnishings.
Change Order. No. 4. Change Order #4 was presen
ed listing nine items, which would reduce the
original contract price by $167.80.
By motion of the Authority Change Order #4 was .
approved .
Bids for furnishings. Mr. Weber of Weber and
Edwards, A. I. A., reported that the bids for the
furniture had been received and computed.- Also
the furniture had been selected on the basis of
thebn'dd ing as well as quality.
The City Manager was present and stated a purcha
order had been issued for the 100 Council Chambe
chairs. Further, there is some concern' as to
the amount of furnishings needed.
Discussion was given as to the type of furnish-,
ings needed as well as the amount needed.' It
was suggested that the members of the Authority
meet with the Architect and the City Manager at
an adjourned meeting. A tentative date was set
for Wednesday, May 8, 1968, at 5:00 P.M.
Parking Area for Police Department. The Authori
was informed the asphalt burn was replaced with
an<5as'phalt burm in the Police Department Parking
area. This change was made due to the fact that
rains could deteriorate the asphalt over a perio
of time.
Plaque. Two drafts for the Commemorative Plaque
were presented for review. It was agreed the
two drafts should be forwarded to the City
Council for their acceptance.

By proper motion the meeting was adjourned to
Wednesday May 8, 1968, at 5:00 P.M.
