CARLSBAD BUILDING AUTHORITY
January 19, 1973

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. by
the new Chairman, Jim Anderson. Members present
•besides the Chairman were Directors Jose and Helto
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes of the Special Meeting held March 27, 1972
were approved as presented.
OLD BUSINESS:
Use of Council Chambers by Carlsbad Unified School
District.
It was agreed that'the Carlsbad Building Authority
Grant the Carlsbad Unified School District per-
mission to use the City Council Chambers on a
continuing basis, subject to conditions 2, 3, 4
and 5 of the original motion approved on March 27
1972. " .
NEW BUSINESS:
(a) Approval of Audit for fiscal year.end ing
June 30. 1972.
Chairman Anderson requested the Minutes to reflect
that the recommendations made by the Auditor to
reimburse the Working Capital Fund had been ac-
complished as of August 8, 1972, and the remaining
balance in the Acquisition and Construction fund
was transferred to the Interest Fund.
It was noted that the annual rent paid by the City
of Carlsbad to the Building Authority is $36,000
rather than
Statement.
$34,000 as reflected in the Auditor's
Following discussion the Annual Audit Report was
accepted and approved,, and the Recording Secretary
was instructed to notify Carroll and Brantley that
where the Auditor's Statement refers to the annual
rent received from the City of Carlsbad as being
$34,000, should be corrected to read $36,000 based
on-action taken by the Building Authority July 13
1971.
(b)
for
Payment of Bills. Authorization was given
the paymen-t of the Auditor's fees submitted
by Carroll & Brantley Associates in the amount of
$185.00 from the Working Capital Fund for audit
of the Carlsbad Building Authority's accounts
ending June 30, 1972.
