Guevara seconded the ; motion. The vote for Jane C, Sonneman as Mayor was i answered by four ayes, Cmn. Bierce voting no. The : Clerk announced that Jane C. Someman was elected i Mayor of the City of Carlsbad, and the new Mayor accepted the chair from the City Clerk. Letter dated ApriI 8, 1960, from: the Department bf Public Health, State of California, i stating that the existefice of rabies in San Diego County ; has been determined to constitute a public health hazardi and that on March 30, 1960 the Director of the Cali- 1 I fornia State Department of Public Health declared San i Diego County to be a rabies area.
