He has a great deal of sympathy for ; :I::, : horse owners. : JOHN GRANT, 2924 Nighland Drive, stated he and Mrs. i ;:I$ i Grant went up and down many streets in Carlsbad today. i : Buena Vista Ave. is a very good example due to the land-: i scaping which makes the street very narrow. We have 1 : owned a horse quite a few years in Carlsbad. The horse : i is usually ridden in the Eucalyptus Grove, however, the i i streets are used to get to the grove. It was Mr. Grant's : ; feeling the Council should consider ordinances of other { i cities. If you cannot ride the horse, what is the use of : ; owning one? 1 t ;;.;,I IS{$ i WILLLAM SHAY, 5114 Carlsbad Blvd., stated his I ::::I : daughter has a horse. He did not feel that riding a horse i i was any more dangerous than riding a bicycle. I :;;!/ i MRS. JOHN GMNT, 2924 Highland Dr., stated in her i t,ii; :; I opinion there is a danger in riding bicyles, water skiing i ::::I : and various other sports. She used to ride downtown, to ; i the theater, parades, etc. Her children would not be : ;:t;i : permitted to go to a parade unless they had ridden down- i et;': ::::: i town previously.
