11 041 TRANSPORTATION PLANNING. Mayor Frazee reviewec the basic elements of the Regional Transportatio) Plan, stating that it must be submitted to the State of California by April 15, where it will be integrated with the over-all transit network plan for the State.
Mayor Frazee introduced Mr. Ken Sultzer and Mr. Walter Jakowski, representatives of C.P.O., and further elaboration of the Transportation Plan was offered.
A question and answer period followed, wherein objectives and concepts were discussed. The roll of C.P.O. as the planning agency for the Regional Transit System as distinguished from the operators of the system was also discussed.
The impact of the Mills Bill, SB 101, was con- sidered at some length and the Council was in accord in its opposition to the proposed bill.
Mayor Frazee stated that public hearings will be held by the C.P.O. Board of Directors on February 20 and February 27, 1975 on the proposej Regional Transportation Plan. C.P.O. will then review and consider responses from the hearings prior to adopting a plan in March.
