EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES Dr. Sylvia Micik was introduced to the City Coun- cil to make a presentation regarding Emergency Medical Services. Mr. Jerry Pieti stated Dr. Micik is responsible for all of the emergency medical care plans in San Diego and will explain the tentative plans the County has drafted for this region of San Diego County wh.ich pertains to implementing a program for paramedics. I Following Dr. Micik's presentation and a questio and answer period, it was agreed by the Council that further study be done on emergency medical services and that the staff seek the assistance of the task forces established for that purpose. Councilman Lewis arrived at 5:53 P.M. 1 EXECUTIVE SESSION: Mayor Frazee called for an Executive Session for the purpose of discussion Personnel; specificall appointments to committees and commissions. The Council reconvened at 6:30 P.M., with all Counci members present, and the Mayor announced aljpoint ments to committees and commission were discusse The following Resolutions were adopted by title only and with the unanimous consent of the Coun- cil, further reading was waived: I (I RESOLUTION NO. 3661. APPOINTING FIVE MEMBERS TO THE CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE SCENI HIGHWAYS ELEMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN. The Mayor announced the following persons:,have been appointed to this committee: 1 Sally Katich Natal i e Long Allan 0. Kelly Betty Wol'lrich David M. Dunne RESOLUTION NO. 3662, APPOINTING A CHAIRMAN AND ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON THE NOISE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN. The Mayor announced the following persons have SIX MEMBERS TO THE CITIZENS AND PROFESSIONALS ~ i been appointed to this committee: I L. W. Following a report by Mr. Jerry Pieti, Admi.nis- trative Assistan't, and review of the proposed Cable Television Ordinance, it was agreed by the Council that the matter be continued to the next workshop session. BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE. The City Manager stated he had received a request from "J" 'IC" Fikes, Chairman of the Bicentennial Committee, for authorization from the Council to hive a phone installed in the new Bicentennial Committee office. A motion was made that the Bicentennial Committee Motion be authorized to have a phone installed in the Ayes xxx Bicentennial office at the City's expense.
