SIGN ORDINANCE After a brief introduction by the City Manager, a report was given by the Planning Director, Don Agatep, with the aid of a Sign Regulation Compari- son Chart, as to provisions of the existing Ordinance adopted in 1968, the proposed Amendment approved by the Planning Commission in 1974, and the Revised Draft of 1975. Lengthy discussion was held as to allowance and limitations on various types of signs, as well as the method of phasing out the legal non-conforming signs in 1978. Following further discussion, the City Manager stated a Draft of a Sign Ordinance would be pre- pared and brought back to Council. RECESS: A short recess was called at 6:25 P.M. for preparation of a slide presentation, and the Council reconvened at 6:30 P.M. with four Council members present. 2. SLIDE PRESENTATION Mr. Robert Lacy of the Office of Emergency Services orated a slide presentation of the different types of disasters that could occur, and what Emergency Services is doing to prepare communities in the event of such a disaster. rn 11 051 -621 3. BINGO After a review of the State laws regarding Bingo, discussion ensued as to procedures necessary to see that these laws are adhered to, possibilities of some form of periodical inspections, and whether the licenses should be issued by the Police Depart- ment or the City Clerk's office. There was also discussion as to the amount of the fee for this license, with $50.00 and $55.00 for a six-month's license being mentioned. It was moved that Staff be directed to prepare a Motion ) Bingo Ordinance. Ayes x> EXECUTIVE SESSION: Mayor Frazee called for an Executive Session at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of discussing litigation. The Council reconvened at 8:32 P.M. with four Council Members present and the Mayor announced that litigation was discussed, and no action was taken. Noes @ 4 ..
