MINUTES
MEmNG OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: August 16,1994
TIME OF MEmNG: 5:1 5 p.m. PLACE OF MER1NG: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 5:17 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Finnila, Kulchin, Mayor Pro Tem Stanton and Mayor Lewis.
Council Member Nygaard arrived at 518 p.m.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to a Closed Session to discuss the following:
74 1. CLOSED SESSION RE EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND NEGOTIATIONS.
Employer-employee relations and negotiations with Whitmore, Johnson & Bolanos and designated
staff as labor negotiators with respect to negotiations with the CPOA, CFA, CCEA and CPMA
employee organizations, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6.
2. CLOSED SESSION RE PENDING LITIGATION.
41 Boss v. Citv of Carlsbad, et ai, (Case No. N59565) pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(a).
Council re-convened at 6:17 p.m., with all Members present and Mayor Lewis announced that Council had
received the information and instructed their negotiators and Attorney.
