MINUTES
MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: October 17, 1995 TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m. PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Assistant City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Hall, Finnila, Mayor Pro Tem Nygaard and Mayor Lewis.
Absent: Council Member Kulchin.
CLOSED SESSION:
74 1. CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND NEGOTIATIONS.
Council adjourned to a Closed Session at 4:32 p.m., to discuss employer-employee relations,
salaries, salary schedules and compensation with respect to the negotiations with the CCEA,
CPOA, the Police Management Association employee organizations and unrepresented
employees, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6.
41 2. CLOSED SESSION - PENDING LITIGATION.
Council held a Closed Session to discuss pending litigation, West Coast General J.V. v. CiW of
Carlsbad, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a).
Council re-convened at 6:22 p.m., with four Members present and Council Member Kulchin absent. Mayor
Lewis announced that Council had heard the information and instructed staff and the attorneys.
