MINUTES
MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: June 11, 1996
TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m. PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Assistant City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Hall, Finnila, Kulchin, Mayor Pro Tem Nygaard
and Mayor Lewis.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to a Closed Session at 4:32 p.m., to discuss the following:
41 1. CLOSED SESSION - PENDING LITIGATION.
Council held a Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(a), to discuss Warren v. Citv of Carlsbad, Case No. 92 0326 E (CM),
pending litigation.
74 2. CLOSED SESSION - EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND
NEGOTIATIONS.
Council held a Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6,
to discuss employer-employee relations, salaries, salary schedules and
compensation with designated staff as labor negotiators with respect to the
negotiations with the CCEA, CPOA, Police Management Association Employee
Organizations and unrepresented employees.
Council re-convened at 5:58 p.m., with five Members present, and Mayor
Lewis announced that Council had heard the information and instructed staff
and the Attorneys regarding these matters.
