MINUTES
MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: November 19, 1996
TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m. PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Assistant City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Mayor Pro Tem Nygaard and
Mayor Lewis. Council Member Finnila arrived at 4:32 p.m.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to Ciosed Session at 4:30 p.m., to discuss the following:
41 1. CLOSED SESSION - PENDING THREATENED LITIGATION.
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (c), to discuss threatened
litigation regarding PRL Properties sewer reimbursement.
74 2. CLOSED SESSION - EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND NEGOTIATIONS.
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.6, to discuss employer-employee
relations, salaries, salary schedules and compensation with designated staff as
labor negotiators with respect to the negotiations with the Carlsbad
Firefighters Association (CFA) and unrepresented employees.
Council re-convened at 6:18 p.m., and Mayor Lewis announced that Council had heard
the information and instructed staff and the Attorneys regarding these matters.
