MINUTES
MEETING OF : CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: February 25,1997
TIME OF MEETING: 6:OO p.m. PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Pro Tem Finnila called the Meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Hall, Kulchm, Nygaard and Mayor Pro Tem Finnila
Absent: Mayor Lewis
41 CLOSED SESSION - PENDING LITIGATION AND POTENTIAL ACOUISITION OF PROPERTY. 81
Council adjourned to a Closed Session at 6:02 p.m. pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(a) to discuss the Coast Waste Management v. County pending litigation, Case No. 94-
1823-S(BTM), and the Citv v., County pending litigation, Case No. N66415; and pursuant to
Government Code Section 54956.8, to discuss the acquisition or potential acquisition of real
property located on the east side of El Camino Real, north of Palomar Airport Road, and
generally identified as the Palomar Transfer Station, APN 209-050-25.
RECESS:
Council reconvened from Closed Session at 7:OO p.m. for a recess. Council reconvened at 7:07
p.m. with four members present and Mayor Lewis absent, and adjourned to the continuation of
the Closed Session.
ADJOURNMENT:
Council reconvened at 7:24 p.m. with four members present and Mayor Lewis absent, and Mayor
Pro Tern Finnila announced that Council had heard the information and instructed staff and the
attorneys concerning the matters.
