MEETING OF : CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)

CALL TO ORDER Mayor Pro Tern Finnila called the Meeting to order at 4:09 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Nygaard and Mayor Pro Tern Finnila
Absent: Mayor Lewis (arrived at 5:20 p.m.)
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to Closed Session at 4:09 p.m., to discuss the following:
41 1. PENDING LITIGATION. The Eastman v. Citv of Carlsbad, pending litigation, Case No. SDO-021443/44, pursuant to Government
Code Section 54956.9(a).

RECESS: Mayor Pro Tem Finnila declared a recess at 5:lO p.m. Mayor Lewis arrived at 5:20 p.m., and Council
reconvened in Closed Session at 5:24 p.m.
31 5. ACOUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY.
The acquisition or potential acquisition of real property located along Faraday Avenue and El Camino
Real, generally identified as Beckman Instruments, Inc., pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8.
Council reconvened at 6: 11 p.m. with all Council Members present. Mayor Pro Tem Finnila announced that
Council had heard the information and instructed staff and the Attorney regarding the items.
