CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 9:OO a.m.
ROLL CALL was taken as follows:
Present: Council Members Kulchin, Nygaard, Mayor Pro Tem Finnila, Mayor Lewis
Absent: Council Member Hall
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA 1TEMS:None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to Closed Session at 9:OO a.m., to discuss the following:
1. PENDING LITIGATION.
The Matter of the Application of San Diego Gas & Electric Company (U 902E) for Authority to Sell
Electrical Generation Facilities and Power Contract, A-97-12-039, pending litigation, pursuant to
Government Code Section 54956.9(a).
Mayor Lewis declared a recess at 1:45 p.m., and Council reconvened at 2:40 p.m., with four Council Members
present and Council Member Hall absent.
2. ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY.
The acquisition or potential acquisition of real property at the site of, and surrounding the Encina Power
Plant, Property Owner: SDG&E, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8.
Council reconvened at 3: 15 p.m. with four Council Members present. Mayor Lewis announced that Council had
heard the information, and instructed staff and the Attorney regarding the items.
