HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-10-08; City Council; Minutesa 0 MINUTES MEETING OF : CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting) DATE OF MEETING: October 8,1998 TIME OF MEETING: 9:30 a.m. PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 950 a.m. ROLL CALL was taken by the City Clerk as follows: Present: Council Members Nygaard, Mayor Pro-Tem Finnila, and Mayor Lewis Absent: Council Members Kulchin and Hall PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None. CLOSED SESSION: Council adjourned to Closed Session at 9:50 a.m., to discuss the following: 1. ACOUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY. The acquisition or potential acquisition of real property at the site of, and surrounding the Encina Power Plant, Property Owner: SDG&E, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. 2. PENDING LITIGATION. The Matter of the Application of San Diego Gas & Electric Company (U 902E) for Authority to Sell Electrical Generation Facilities and Power Contracts, A-97-12-039, pending litigation, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a). Council reconvened at 12:40 p.m. with three Council Members present and Council Members Kulchin and Hall absent.
