MINUTES
MEETING OF : CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: November 3,1998

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Kulchin, Nygaard, Mayor Pro Tem Finnila, Mayor Lewis
Absent: Council Member Hall
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to Closed Session at 5:05 p.m., to discuss the following:
1. PENDING LITIGATION.
The Matter of the Application of San Diego Gas & Electric Company (U 902E) for Authority to Sell
Electrical Generation Facilities and Power Contract, A-97-12-039, pending litigation, pursuant to
Government Code Section 54956.9(a).
2. INITIATION OF LITIGATION.
Initiation of litigation involving San Diego Gas & Electric Company, and the acquisition of the Encina
Power Plant site and its associated properties, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c).
Council reconvened at 6:08 p.m. with four Council Members present. Mayor Lewis announced that Council had
heard the information, and instructed staff and the Attorney regarding the items.
