MEETING OF : CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: February 9,1999
TIME OF MEETING: 500 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 5:03 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Assistant City Clerk as follows:
Present: Council Members Kulchin, Nygaard, Finnila, Mayor Pro-Tern Hall and Mayor Lewis
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to Closed Session at 5:03 p.m., to discuss the following:
74 1. CLOSED SESSION - EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND NEGOTIATIONS,
Employer-employee relations, salaries, salary schedules, and compensation with designated staff (Frank
Mannen, Assistant City Manager and Ann Cheverton, Human Resources Director) as labor negotiators, with respect to negotiations with the CFA, CCEA, CPOA, and Police Management Association employee
organizations, and unrepresented employees, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6.
Council Member Hall left the meeting at 5:05 p.m. Council continued the Closed Session with four members present to discuss Item No. 2 as follows:
81 2. CLOSED SESSION - ACOUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY.
The acquisition or potential acquisition of approximately 1 .18 acres of real property, located at 3363 Tyler
Street, APN: 204-070-27, owned by Tyler Court Partners, Ltd., with designated staff (Marty Orenyak,
Community Development Director and Debbie Fountain, Housing and Redevelopment Director), pursuant
to Government Code Section 54956.8.
Council reconvened at 5:28 p.m. with four Council Members present, and Council Member Hall absent. Mayor Lewis announced that Council had heard the information, and instructed staff and the Attorney regarding the items.
