MINUTES
MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: March 7,2000
TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Special Meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL: The roll call was taken by the Deputy City Clerk.
Present: Councilmembers Lewis, Hall, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin.
Absent: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: -None
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to Closed Session at 4:30 p.m., to discuss the following:
I. CLOSED SESSION - EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND NEGOTIATIONS.
To consider holding a Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6
to discuss employer-employee relations, salaries, salary schedules and compensation
with designated staff as labor negotiators (Frank Mannen, Assistant City Manager; Jim
Elliott, Administrative Services Director; Ann Cheverton, Human Resources Director;
Julie Clark, Human Resources Manager; and, Deborah Porter, Management Analyst),
with respect to the negotiations with the CFA, CCEA, CPOA, Police Management
Association employee organizations and unrepresented employees.
Council reconvened at 555 p.m. with all Council Members present. Mayor Lewis
announced that Council had heard the information and instructed staff and the Attorney
regarding the item.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of March 7, 2000, was adjourned at 555 p.m.
