MINUTES
MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: July 11, 2000
TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk, as follows:
Present:
Absent:
Mayor Lewis, Mayor Pro Tern Hall, Council Members Finnila, and
Kulchin.
Council Member Nygaard.
PUBLIC COMMENT - None
CITIZEN OF THE YEAR CEREMONY:
Mayor Lewis announced that Belynn Gonzales and Don Dewhurst have been selected
Carlsbad Citizens of the Year for 1999. He noted the accomplishments and community
contributions of both individuals and presented each with a plaque.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Lewis adjourned the meeting at 4:50 p.m. and invited all in attendance to a coffee
and cake reception in the City Manager’s Conference Room.
