MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Special Meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk.
Present: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Finnila, Nygaard, and Kulchin.
Absent: None
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: - None
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to Closed Session at 4:30 p.m., to discuss the following:
74 1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54957.6 - To discuss employer-employee
relations, salaries, salary schedules, and compensation in the form of fringe
benefits with designated staff as labor negotiators (Frank Manner-r, Assistant City
Manager; Jim Elliott, Administrative Services Director; Julie Clark, Acting Human
Resources Director (Absent); Kevin Branca, Assistant Finance Director; and,
Deborah Porter, Management Analyst) with respect to the negotiations with the
CFA, CCEA, Police Management Association employee organizations and
unrepresented employees.
Council reconvened at 550 p.m. with all Council Members present. Mayor Lewis
announced that Council had heard the information and instructed staff and the Attorney
regarding the item.
