CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Special Meeting to order at 500 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk, as follows:
Present:
Absent:
Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard and Hall.
None.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
1. CLOSED SESSION - POTENTIAL LITlIGATION
To consider holding a Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(c), to discuss Canvons Network, Sierra Club and Center for Biological Diversitv
v. Gale Norton, in her official capacity as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Interior and
the United States Department of the Interior, Case No. D018677.
2. CLOSED SESSION - PENDING LITIGATION
To consider holding a Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(a), to discuss Gonzales v. Citv of Carlsbad, Case No. OICV 0944 J (LSP).
Council reconvened at 5:55 p.m. with all Council Members present.
Mayor Lewis announced that Council had heard the information and instructed staff and the
attorney regarding the item.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of October 16, 2001, was adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
