CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Special Meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk, as follows:
Present:
Absent: Hall.
Lewis, Finnila, Kulchin and Packard.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council recessed into Closed Session at 4:30 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(a) - To discuss pending litigation
regarding AT&T Wireless Sewice v. City of Carlsbad, Case No. 01 CV 2045
JM (JFS).
2. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.8 - To discuss the lease of real property
and instruct negotiators (Community Development Director Sandra Holder and
Housing and Redevelopment Director Debbie Fountain) regarding both price and
terms of payment.

3. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956,9(b)(1) - To discuss pending litigation
regarding a contract dispute with P & D Consultants arising from the design work on
Aviara Community Park Project.
Council reconvened at 555 p.m. with all members present. Mayor Pro Tern Finnila
announced that Council had heard the information and instructed staff and the attorney
regarding the items.
ADJOURNMENT.
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of August 19, 2003 was adjourned at 555 p.m.
