I 2005 Citizen’s Academy
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
In attendance: Mayor Lewis, Council Member Kulchin, Council Member Packard and
Council Member Sigafoose.
Mayor Pro Tem Hall was not able to attend the meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
Senior Management Analyst Joe Garuba welcomed the students to the Fall 2005
Citizen’s Academy. He introduced Mayor Lewis, Council Members Kulchin, Packard
and Sigafoose to the class.
Each Council Member spoke about how and why they came to be involved in
government and expresses their appreciation for the students taking the time to attend
the Academy.
Secretary to the City Council Marilyn Strong introduced City Staff.
Senior Management Analyst Joe Garuba gave a brief synopsis of the evenings Agenda.
City Attorney Ron Ball gave a Powerpoint presentation and spoke about the laws that
direct municipal government.
Senior Management Analyst Joe Garuba gave a Powerpoint presentation and spoke
about the City’s Mission, Vision and Values and how they are achieved.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Special Meeting of September 8, 2005 was adjourned at 8:OO p.m.
