HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-09-18; City Council; Minutes (2)MINUTES MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting) DATE OF MEETING: September 18, 2007 TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m. PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:33 p.m. ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk, as follows: Present: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard Absent: None. CLOSED SESSION: Council adjourned into Closed Session at 4:33 p.m. pursuant to the following: 1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54957.6. To consider holding a closed session to discuss employer-employee relations, salaries, salary schedules and compensation in the form of fringe benefits with designated staff as labor negotiators (Jim Elliott, Deputy City Manager, Julie Clark, Human Resources Director, and Debbie Porter, Management Analyst) regarding employees represented by CPOA, CCEA and CFA. 2. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.8 To consider holding a closed session to instruct its negotiator (Eva Plajzer, Senior Civil Engineer) regarding purchase, sale, exchange or lease of real property located and generally identified as: Property Owner: Mabel L. Barber, Trustee Location: 5592 El Camino Real, 92008 APN: 209-060-56/209-060-57 3. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(c) To consider holding a closed session to discuss facts and circumstances regarding possible litigation against Real Estate Collateral Management. The Council reconvened at 5:48 p.m. with five members present. Mayor Lewis announced that the Council heard the information and instructed staff and the attorney regarding the items.
