JOINT MEETING OF: THE CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL AND
HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
(Joint Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: April 22, 2008
TIME OF MEETING: 6:00 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor/Chair Lewis called the Joint Special Meeting to order at 8:18 p.m.
ROLL CALL: was taken by the City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council/Commission Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
Absent: None.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
ACTION: On a motion by Mayor Pro Tern/Vice Chair Kulchin the Council/Commission affirmed
the action of the Consent Calendar, Item No. 11 as follows:
AYES: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
WAIVER OF ORDINANCE TEXT READING:
The Council/Commission waived the reading of the text of all Ordinances and Resolutions at this
Meeting.
11. AB #19.415 - APPROVE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDING FOR A DOWN PAYMENT AND
CLOSING COST LOAN AND/OR MINOR HOME REPAIR GRANT PROGRAM.
Council adopted RESOLUTION NO. 2008-121. approving an appropriation of Federal
Home Investment Partnership and Housing Trust funds to implement a Down Payment and
Closing Cost Loan and/or Minor Home Repair Grant Program for lower income households;
and,
The Commission adopted RESOLUTION NO. 450. approving an appropriation of
Redevelopment Low and Moderate Income Housing Set-Aside Funds to implement a Down
Payment and Closing Cost Loan and/or Minor Home Repair Grant Program for lower
income households.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Joint Special Meeting of April 22, 2008 was adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
