MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: June 10, 2008
TIME OF MEETING: 4:00 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall and Nygaard
Absent: Packard.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 4:02 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(a). To hold a closed session based on
existing facts and circumstances to discuss pending litigation regarding Time Warner
Cable.
2. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(cl. To hold a closed session based on
existing facts and circumstances to discuss anticipated litigation against U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service, California Department of Fish and Game, Fieldstone/La Costa
Associates and/or Morrow Development.
3. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(al To hold a closed session to discuss
pending litigation regarding the City of Encinitas v. City of Carlsbad, Case No. 37-2008-
00088091-CU-PT-NC.
The Council reconvened at 5:49 p.m. with four members present. Mayor Lewis announced that
the Council heard the information and instructed staff and the attorney regarding the items.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of June 10, 2008 was adjourned at 5:53 p.m.
