MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL AND CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT (Joint Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: June 17, 2008
TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor/President Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:31 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk/Deputy Secretary, as follows:
Present: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council/Board adjourned into Closed Session at 4:31 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(a). The City Council and Carlsbad
Municipal Water District hold a closed session to discuss pending litigation against
ASOP/AIG Insurance Company et al. (Case No. 37-2007-00072351 -CU-IC-CTL).
The Council/Board reconvened at 5:55 p.m. with five members present. Mayor/President Lewis
announced that the Council/Board heard the information and instructed staff and the attorney
regarding the item.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Joint Special Meeting of June 17, 2008 was adjourned at 5:59 p.m.
