MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL AND
PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY (Joint Special Meeting)

TIME OF MEETING: 4:45 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor/Chairman Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:45 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk/Deputy Secretary, as follows:
Present: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
The Council/Board adjourned into Closed Session at 4:45 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION S49S6.9(a). The City Council and Public Financing
Authority Board hold a closed session based on existing facts and circumstances to discuss
pending litigation against Prince Reza Shah.
The Council/Board reconvened at 5:51 p.m. with five members present. Mayor/Chairman Lewis
announced that the Council/Board heard the information and instructed staff and the attorney
regarding the item.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Joint Special Meeting of September 9, 2008 was adjourned at 5:54 p.m.
