MEETING OF: Fall 2008 Citizen's Academy Graduation
(Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: October 23, 2008
TIME OF MEETING: 5:30 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
In attendance: Mayor Lewis, Council Member Hall, Council Member Packard and
Council Member Nygaard.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
City Manager Lisa Hildabrand welcomed the students to the Fall 2008 Citizen's
Academy Graduation Ceremony.
A City Council Question and Answer/Panel Discussion was held and citizens' questions
were answered by Mayor Lewis and Council Members Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
Citizens Academy Completion Certificates were given to each participant from Mayor
Lewis and Council Members Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
Mayor Lewis and Council Member Nygaard excused themselves from the meeting at
6:30 p.m.
A recess was declared at 6:30 p.m. The Academy reconvened at 6:50 p.m.
Council Member Packard and Council Member Hall excused themselves from the
meeting at 7:20 p.m.
Academy attendees participated in a City Council Role Play activity.
Secretary to the City Council Marilyn Strong, thanked the class for their participation in
the Citizen's Academy.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Special Meeting of October 23, 2008, was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
