MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 3:36 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk as follows:
Present: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
Absent: None.
1 .GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.8. The City Council hold a closed session to instruct
its negotiator (Housing and Redevelopment Director Debbie Fountain) regarding purchase,
sale, exchange or lease of real property located and generally identified as:
Property Owner: Marc Pertman (Marker Development)
Location: 14.4 acres / El Camino Real and Dove Lane
APN: 215-050-73-00 / vacant property
Negotiators: Anne Wilson and Mary Jane Jagodizinski
(Community Housing Works)
Marc Perlman (Marker Development)
2. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(cK The City Council hold a closed session based
on existing facts and circumstances to discuss consideration of initiating litigation against
Online Travel Companies (OTC's) (Expedia Group, Travelocity Group, Orbitz Group and
Priceline Group).
3.GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.8. The City Council hold a closed session to
instruct its negotiators (Brian Albright Parks and Recreation Director and Sue Spickard,
Recreation Services Manager) regarding purchase, sale, exchange or lease of real property
located and generally identified as:
Property Owner: City of Carlsbad
Location: Poinsettia Community Park
6600 Hidden Valley Road
Negotiators: iTennis and BD Teacher, Inc.
The Council reconvened at 5:47 p.m. with five members present. Mayor Lewis announced that the Council
heard the information and instructed staff and the attorney regarding the item.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of July 21,2009 was adjourned at 5:51 p.m.
