MEETING OF : CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: December 22, 2009
TIME OF MEETING: 3:00 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL: was taken by the City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Lewis, Hall, Kulchin and Blackburn.
Absent: Packard.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
CITIZENS OF THE YEAR:
On behalf of the City Council, Mayor Lewis announced that Bobbie Hoder and Jim and
Pat Hansen had been selected as the 2008 City of Carlsbad Citizens of the Year.
Mayor Pro Tem Kulchin and Mayor Lewis presented plaques to Ms. Hoder and Mr. and
Mrs. Hansen to honor the occasion.
Mayor Lewis announced that the Committee to select the Carlsbad Citizens of the Year
will sunset in October 2010. He added that the new Mayor would appoint the next
committee.
Mayor Lewis invited everyone to a cake and coffee reception in the City Manager's
Conference Room.

By proper motion, the Special Meeting of December 22, 2009, was adjourned at 3:22 p.m.
