MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: May 18, 2010
TIME OF MEETING: Immediately following the City Council Meeting
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 6:47 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54957.6 - CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS.
The City Council, by motion, authorizes a closed session to discuss employer-employee relations,
salaries, salary schedules and compensation in the form of fringe benefits of its employees represented
by CFA with designated staff as labor negotiators (Cynthia Haas, Deputy Manager, Julie Clark, Human
Resources Director, Kevin Branca, Assistant Finance Director, Debbie Porter, Senior Management
Analyst and Steven Berliner, Liebert Cassidy & Whitmore).
If circumstances necessitate the absence of a specified designated representative, an agent or
designee may participate in place of the absent representative so long as the name of the agent or
designee is announced at an open session held prior to the closed session.
The Council reconvened at 6:58 p.m. with five members present Mayor Lewis announced that
Council would discuss their decision at the continuation of the Regular Council Meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of May 18, 2010, was adjourned at 6:58 p.m.
